about
Some essays change how people think, but reading takes time and attention. Each video here explains one essay in a few minutes: narrated, drawn, and split into chapters you can jump between.
how the videos are made
Every video retells its essay in new words rather than reading it aloud, quotes at most one short line, credited, and links to the original. Each chapter cites the paragraphs it covers. Each video borrows the look of its author's own website.
The narrator is a synthetic stock voice. It never imitates the author.
who makes this
An independent project, not affiliated with the authors. If a video misstates an essay, that's our mistake. The originals are always better; read them when you have the time.
